Our Mission

At Imbewu Yoshintso, our mission is to offer young students in Africa, permaculture and regenerative agriculture internships and mentorship; to promote and develop perennial agricultural systems, such as food forests, to restore degraded ecosystems through better land stewardship in the communities we work in. Our goal is to provide a rewarding and professional experience for our funders and donors, who partner with us.

Ethos behind our Partnerships

The overarching ethos behind our carefully selected partnerships is the idea that communities which have food security, sustainable livelihoods, and the possibility of income generation will experience less conflict with the natural resources in their immediate vicinity. In this way, agro-ecology initiatives are seen as being a vital part of ongoing conservation efforts to create better relations between the community and the reserve, and ultimately to reduce conflict through sustainable livelihoods.
